CONNICK WELCOMES WEXFORD HIGH SPEED BROADBAND TRIALS |

Local Minister of State Sean Connick TD has welcomed an announcement made today (Wednesday June 16th) that Wexford town is one of two locations in Ireland selected for trials of ultra fast fibre broadband.
Eircom will invest up to €20 million in trials of ultra fast fibre broadband to up to 10,000 homes and businesses in Wexford town and in Sandyford, Co. Dublin. The “fibre to home technology” which is being trialled will offer broadband speeds of up to 150Mb per second.

CONNICK –FUNDING PROVIDED FOR LOCAL ROADS
Wexford Minister of State Sean Connick TD has confirmed that the National Roads Authority are to provide supplementary funding for a number of National Primary Roads in Co. Wexford. Minister Connick confirmed today that funding of €50,000 has been secured for the New Ross Ring Road, €250,000 for Jamestown on the N30 and €300,000 for Scarawalsh on the N25.
